Gordo Area History and Chronicles. Published by the Pickens Co. Genealogical Society. This book 338 pages with 223 photos. The first help is topical information of Gordo and surrounding communities. The last half chronicles the history of the area compiled from over one hundred years of newspapers from Pickens and Tuscaloosa counties. It is $50.00 + $5.00 p&h.

Note Cards, Old Gordo Jail; the Old Gordo Jail was built in 1914 to serve as the mayor's office, courtroom and jail. It is recognized by the Alabama Historical Association as the oldest brick structure in the town of Gordo, AL. $4.00/pkg + $5.00 p&h.
