Carol Melton Jones, has volunteered (summer, 2000) to do lookups in Miscellaneous Alabama Newspaper Abstracts--Vol 1 compiled by Michael Kelsey, Nancy Graff Kelsy, Ginny Guinn Parson published by Heritage Books, Inc. Abstracts consist of marriages, deaths, legal and slave notices, advertisements and large list of names of unclaimed letters in local post offices. Within the index is included a Slave Name Index.
