Mr. Lynn died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born March 23, 1918, in Morgan County to James Wilson Lynn Sr. and Lois Johnson Lynn. Mr. Lynn was a tenth generation member of the long prominent Lynn family, first settled in what is now America in 1730. He was a well respected rancher, farmer, spouse and father. He served for 10 years as Morgan County Commissioner of District 4, as did his father. He was instrumental in the formation of the Northeast Morgan Water Department and served as it's first general manager. He was an active member of the Alabama Cattleman's Association and was a charter member and one of the founders of the Florette Community Lions Club. He will be sorely missed, the community is losing one of it's own.
