Co., Ala. Samuel C. born abt. 1858, Emmit W. born abt. 1863, and Joseph Thomas
Harrison born abt. 1874- died Nov.29, 1927 in Lamar Co., Ala. Thomas G., Emmit
W., and Joseph T. were all buried at Liberty Freewill Baptist Church Cem., just

HERRINGTON: JOHN HERRINGTON (LAMAR County) and PATRICK HERRINGTON (Blount County) Are these two men related?? I have civil war records on both and they were in the same unit in the Civil War and were both captured at the Battle of Franklin/Nashville. John was sent to Camp Chase, Ohio and died there. Patrick was sent to Camp Douglas, Illinois where he was released at the end of the war and returned to North Alabama. Mary Catherine Hewlett was born about 1826 in Morgan Co. Al. Married about 1840 in Winston County Al. to Allen Boston McLain. She left a will naming all of her children in 1888 in Lamar County, Al. The will was probated Feb.1890. Looking for her grave or any other information on her and her children. The children named in the will was William Hewlett McLain, Felix Duncan McLain [ my Gr-Grandfather], Dr. David Hubbard McLain, Rebecca Hewlett, Rebecca Hewlett, Leonore Rush, Duanna McLain, Margaret Irene White, Eunice Morton. James David Hopper: bn. about 1824-25 in either Ireland, SC, NC or AL. Owned land in Pickens county, AL from 1858 until after 1870. Served in the Home Guard for Pickens county, AL during the Civil War. Moved to Lamar county, and is shown in Lamar county, AL on the 1880 census. Died in 1893 in Lamar county, AL.
