Strickland Cemetery

Dale County Alabama
Complete Listing

James, I would like for you to add to the Dale County cemeteries on the Henry County web site this small cemetery. It is now on private land but was once owned by my ggGrandparents, Kincheon and Sarah Strickland. Strickland Cemetery is on County Rd 59 N and is located in a field. Not sure who owns that field now. I do not live in Alabama. I am not too good at directions but here goes. Go northwest out of Dothan on US 231 and you will come to a crossroad where 231 and 59 join, drop south on 59 and the cemetery will then be on your right. There is a white house and by the side of this house is a grassy road, go down the road a short way and it will be on the left side of this road. The last time we were there it was very overgrown with small trees and lots of weeds. These directions are awful but the best I can do from looking at the Dale County map. My husband plotted the cemetery on the map as it does not show up. [Source: Margie Wiggins Lawrence]
