I am looking for the family of John Bailey Daniel (born 1831/d. 1908).  He married Emmerline/Emmaline Parrish.  The 1880 census of Lauderdale Co., AL shows them and some children there.  I believe his parents were Obediah Daniel and Sarah ?.  Some of his children, however, were in Colbert Co., AL (Charlie Robinson Daniel, John Monroe Daniel, et al.)
Charlie Robinson Daniel (son of John Bailey Daniel) was born 9-17-1876 in Allsboro, Colbert Co., AL and died  9-27-1952 in Tishomingo Co., MS/bd. in Snowdown Methodist Church Cemetery in Iuka, Tishomingo Co., MS).  Charlie married Margaret (Maggie) Leona Ware
Another child of John Bailey Daniel was John  Monroe Daniel (b. 10-14-1868 in AL/d. either 8-15-1948 or 8-15-1954).  He md. in Colbert Co., AL on 10-13-1889 to Sarah (Sallie) (Thurston/Thursie) ELIZABETH LAMBERT (b. 6-30-1869/d. 6-17-1954)).
If anyone has any information on these folks, please share with me.  I may be contacted at      Wanda Bostick Little

I'm researching the John and Jemima Wallis/Wallace line in Rock Creek, Colbert County. They first appeared in Frankling County in 1860 but must have been on the county line as they were moved into Colbert County by 1870 and were still there in 1880.
My line came from the eldest son of John and Jemima, Tyra. Born 1834 in Georgia.
The 1880 census shows the following children still living at home with Tyra Wallis and wife Mary:
I found one reference to a Colbert County marriage record for a Tincy W. Wallis and Mrs. Mary Fulfort. I don't have the record and dont know if this is my family or not. I have seen Tyra spelled this way before.
I would welcome any information or comments.

Seeking information on the connection between the family of William Henry Nance (1845-1903) and Orlando Halsey (c. 1839-aft. 1910), of Tuscumbia. One of W. H. Nance’s obituaries states that Orlando Halsey’s wife, Mary Katherine Jones (1841-1929), a daughter of James Oscar and Elizabeth Benham Jones was a sister of W. H. Nance, another says she was his niece. We know William Henry had two brothers, Lucas (c. 1848-1890) and John A. (b. ca. 1851), but do not have any information on a sister.

Mary Katherine had a sister, Patti Jones (c. 1869-aft. 1920), who married William Lee Reeder (c. 1865-1918) of Florence, and at least one brother, J. Oscar Jones brothers. According to her obit. Mary Katherine Jones Halsey was born in Marion County. In 1892, W. L.. Reeder worked for W. H. Nance, who was a cotton buyer. What is the relationship of Mary Katherine Jones Halsey and Patti Reeder to W. H. Nance? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Lee Freeman.

Looking for relatives of Gertrude (Gertie) Abel Henrichson.  She lived in Colbert county.  I know she had at least one daughter.  She ran a home for the elderly. We visited her in the early 1960's.  She died January 1974.  She and my grandfather were
cousins and she used to visit us in Tennessee.  If someone could look up
her death for me I would appreciate it.  Would like to see if it lists
any living relatives and also would like to know what funeral home she
was at and where she was buried. Thanks in advance,   Debbie

Sarah E. Wilson filed a Confederate widow's pension application in Colbert Co. in 1897 with Judge Fox Delony. She lived with a family member in Town Creek, Lawrence Co. before moving to Colbert Co. She would have lived , and might be buried there, around the early 1900's or shortly after. Any information on this will be appreciated.
